Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

A tummy tuck or abdominoplasty is an operation
performed to remove excess fat tissue and skin folds in the
mid and lower stomach area and tight up stomach wall. It can
happen to women after having delivered a child that the lining
of the abdominal muscles was ripped and a bulge of the abdomen
can be developed. Men can have this problem if they suffer
from excess stomach skin and fat. There are several types
of tummy tuck, ranging from a minor removal of hanging skin
(a mini-tuck) to a major tuck where entire abdomen is tightened.
It is designed to remove only as much excess skin and fat
tissue as is practical and safe. Stretch marks will be removed
along with the excess skin but the marks on the remaining
abdominal skin cannot be removed.
Possible Risk
Any surgical procedures has the risk of
excessive bleeding and infection.
Recovery Period
You need to stay in Bangkok 10 more days
after surgery. In general, you can return to work within one
or two weeks.
